What can I say? I wasn’t too convinced about the first season of Game of Thrones. So when we watched it a few years ago, I was a little shocked by the ending of season 1. But not enough or not curious enough to continue on to season 2. So we left it. And since we bought the DVD’s it sat and gathered dust in our bookshelf…. Until a few months ago.

It was one of those bad weather nights and I have always felt that you do not watch game of Thrones in the summer. So it was the right weather, we didn’t have anything else to watch so we gave it another try. At first I was entirely confused and about to give up. It’s a complicated series to watch and if you put two years between season 1 and season 2…. you should really start over.

But Tom, having read the books as well, paused the show every once in a while to explain who was who and which house belonged to which person and so on. And before we knew it, we were head over heels in love with the show. And finished all 5 seasons within a few weeks… Yep…

It is that good… And now we have to wait for the final season to arrive. It will only air on HBO by middle of summer (why o why in summer?? Isn’t it “WINTER is coming?” and not summer is coming? Anyway, totally in love with the series and can’t wait for it to start again. So I give you the trailer of season 7. Not that the trailer tells you much, it is the ultimate teaser!

Update: I just heard that the director of the show apparently agreed with me and that is why the show is not launching in the summer but in autumn as that is more fitting to the winter theme… Shit… now we have to wait even longer! 🙁
